Amazing hyper-realistic oil paintings by the artist Jason Walker
When information technology comes to hyperrealistic oil painting, it seems that the focus these days has get more than and more than centred on technical ability and less and less on the subject matter of whatever given piece of work. In my mind, the ability equally an artist to paint well should be a given, assuasive the design and impact of the image to take front and middle.
What matters most to me is to create images of the fourth dimension that I live in–curating the cacophony of stimuli in everyday life in the modernistic globe. I don't find the umpteenth painting of a pear to be worth whatever of my time just because it'south painted in a realistic mode.
So why donuts? From the ridiculous to the sublime, donuts to me are the ultimate image of decadence and in many cases, pass up. Painting, thanks to social media, has become Paintertainment, and I find that modern images of things like donuts, toys and Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz are a much more authentic depiction of our globe than notwithstanding another still life of a brass teapot. ~ Jason Walker
